When Calls The Heart

The Hallmark Channel is still adjusting to life without Lori Loughlin. There are big changes in place as her absence continues. Her popular show “When Calls The Heart” just introduced a new family that has brought diversity to the show. Fans are applauding the new change.

When Loughlin’s college admissions scandals broke, she was written out of the show and her image appears to have been scrubbed from past episodes.

She served her time in prison, but there still doesn’t appear to be a hint of hope that she will return.

Canfields Move To Hope Valley

The Canfields are the new family in Hope Valley. Joseph Canfield is trying to buy the gas station in this early 20th century town.

He and his wife Minnie have two children, one with a disability.

Joseph Canfield will likely be a familiar face to Hallmark fans as actor Viv Leacock appeared in “Hailey Dean Mysteries.”

The actors who play his children, Angela and Cooper, in the show are his children in real life. The Canfields are a true family affair.

Twelve-year-old Angela, played by Vienna Leacock, is a gifted piano player who is also visually impaired.

She and her brother Cooper, played by Elias Leacock, have been homeschooled, so heading off to school is a new adventure for these children.

And it’s also a challenge for their mom Minnie Canfield, played by Natasha Burns, who is used to teaching her children.

She now has a new role as overprotective parent.

“When Calls The Heart” Fans Welcome The Canfields

All four of the actors received warm welcomes from “When Calls The Heart” fans on Twitter.

The applause was so overwhelming for this new family that there was even a call for them to have a spinoff show.

Things are still changing on Hallmark after Lori Loughlin’s departure.

So far, fans are impressed.
