Former “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe says “it’s a heartbreaker” that President Joe Biden’s recent executive order treated skilled laborers in “such a high-handed manner.”
On Fox News Rowe said that “everybody” is affected by fundamental imbalances in the oil and gas industry. He explained that the ripple effect from Biden’s order is far bigger that the 11,000 Keystone Pipeline jobs lost.
In fact, he went so far as to say that the impacts from Biden’s action will “ripple all the way to the coasts.”
Rowe warned:
“Just wait until we truly make [the oil and gas industry] the enemy and disconnect ourselves so completely from that part of our economy that we really start to see the impact. Then you’ll have 330 million people involved in this conservation.”

Biden kicked off his presidency by signing executive orders to stop new leases owned by the oil and gas industry on federal land. His orders also eliminated subsidies for oil and other fossil fuels.
On top of that, Biden’s order forced the U.S. to commit to conserving 30 percent or more of federal land by 2030.
Biden has long been known as a flip-flopper when it comes to the fracking and the oil industry.
During a presidential debate in October, Biden claimed that he would “transition from the industry.”
He backtracked less than one week later, saying that “the oil industry is not going to go away, and the oil industry itself, if you notice what it’s doing, it’s branching out beyond oil.”

Earlier this week, Mike Rowe issued a warning to Biden when it came to fossil fuels.
“The conversation I think we ought to be having involves the degree to which 330 million Americans are truly reliant on petroleum products and fossil fuels,” Rowe told Fox Business. “Not just at the pump. It’s not just oil and natural gas or clean versus dirty. It’s the yoga pants. It’s the plastic on the keyboard.”
Rowe added that “energy can’t be the enemy” in America.
“Even if our government turns its back on fossil fuels, the country can’t,” he explained. “No matter what we want, we can’t do it.”
See Rowe tell it like it is right here:
Rowe has long been someone who champions America’s skilled workers. He goes above and beyond to help them through his Mike Rowe Foundation. He’s the host of “Six Degrees with Mike Rowe” on streaming service Discovery+.
If only Biden cared about American workers half as much as Rowe does.
If he did, we would all be much better off indeed.
