Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum and reigning Professional Fighters League titleholder Kayla Harrison are two of the final fighters announced for the upcoming return of PFL.

Werdum will compete in the heavyweight regular season as he chases another title to add to his incredible resume. Werdum and the rest of the division compete on the ESPN family of networks on May 6.

Along with Werdum, defending champion Ali Isaev, Mohammed Usman, Justin Willis, Ante Delija, Denis Goltsov, Renan Ferreira, Hatef Moeil, Bruno Cappelozza and Brandon Sayles are all set for action.

Harrison, an Olympic gold medalist, is perfect in her MMA career. The judo expert will once again by looking to best a field of athletes that includes Larissa Pacheco, Mariana Morais, Julija Pajic, Cindy Dandois, Genah Fabian and Laura Sanchez. 

“Our fighters continue to showcase their smarts, grit, and bold personalities as we get closer and closer to the season and we are excited to support them in their journeys with the PFL,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “Each fighter has their own unique journey that they’ve been on and are going through and we are confident the PFL will provide them and our fans with ample opportunity for exciting matchups making it a great season.”

The PFL regular season begins April 23 on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ in prime time. Events continue through June until the championship finals go down. 

“Everyone loves to see the big boys go out and sling the heavy leather,” said Ray Sefo, President of Fighter Operations. “As a former heavyweight I’m no different. I’m also very excited to see our women’s division kick off their season. We’ve brought in the best talent in the world to challenge Kayla and Larissa and it will be an even more challenging season for these very talented ladies.”
