It’s a busy day in combat sports, and one of the more compelling bouts on the schedule is a scrap between the legendary Jose Aldo and Marlon Vera.

The former featherweight champ will face Vera in the co-headliner of UFC Vegas 17. The bout will be Aldo’s third since he dropped down to bantamweight last year.
In Aldo’s first fight at 135, he dropped a split decision to Marlon Moraes. Since a lot of people score the fight for Aldo (28-7), however, he was tapped for a title fight with the champ Petr Yan this past July.
The 34-year-old star had some big moments early on, but Yan took over the fight and stopped him in round five.
Vera (16-6-1), on the other hand, is coming off a huge win. In August, the 28-year-old became the first man to defeat rising star, Sean O’Malley, as he stopped him in the opening round.
