The much-discussed, champion versus champion bout between Israel Adesanya and Jan Blachowicz is finally good to go.

Adesanya versus Blachowicz booked for UFC 259

Following Adesanya’s impressive, stoppage of Paulo Costa in September, the middleweight champ reported he wanted to fight Jared Cannonier next. If…Cannonier got by Robert Whittaker at UFC 254 in October.

When that didn’t happen, Adesanya (20-0) changed gears and started driving for a fight with the light heavyweight champ, Blachowicz (27-8). Since then, there’s been plenty of talk about if and when the bout will happen, and now Dana White’s confirmed to ESPN it will take place on March 6th.

UFC 259 will take place on that date; however, the venue and location for the card has yet to be determined.

Blachowicz is also coming off a stoppage win in September, as he took out Dominick Reyes to secure the vacant, light heavyweight crown (which Jon Jones vacated earlier this year to make a run at heavyweight).
