Jon Jones

Jon Jones is back in the news again, but this time it’s not regarding the issue he has with fans calling Khabib Nurmagomedov the greatest fighter to date. Instead, Jones is making headlines as a result of a video he posted, which appears to show him chasing away an alleged burglar while brandishing a shotgun.

Jones Says The Man Is “Lucky”

Recently the 33-year-old, former UFC champ posted the video and statement below. The video appears to be surveillance footage that was captured outside of what’s likely Jones’ residence.

Later in the video, a figure who looks like Jones is shown running after the alleged burglar, while holding a shotgun. The situation Jones described, regarding the tapping of the window with his gun, isn’t shown.

Ended up tapping on this guys driver side window with the muzzle of my shotgun last night. Next time you try to rob someone, make sure you’re fast enough to out run them.

He’s lucky I’m smart enough to not shoot a man while he’s retreating. People I know times are getting hard but your life isn’t worth a few material possessions.

What are your thoughts on this video, what would you have done differently?

During recent protests and riots in Albuquerque, where Jones resides, the star was documented trying to prevent looting.

What’s Next For Jones

As far as Jones’ fighting career, it’s not clear when and who ‘Bones’ is fighting next.

Earlier this year he vacated the light heavyweight title to make a run at heavyweight. Since then, Jones has repeated his interest in fighting middleweight champ Israel Adesanya, and he’s also teased returning to 205 pounds to face the new champ, Jan Blachowicz.

More recently, Jones has been feuding with fans and observers online, who have been arguing Khabib Nurmagomedov, and not Jones, is the greatest fighter ever.

Jones hasn’t fought since February when he recorded a tightly contested, decision win over Dominick Reyes.
