A.J. McKee needed less than two minutes tonight at Bellator 253 to extend his perfect record, as he tapped out Darrion Caldwell in the semifinals of Bellator’s featherweight grand prix.

Round one

McKee missed with a kick early on and Caldwell shot in and took him down. McKee fired a few elbows from below before eating one from above. McKee started working a neck crank from below and Caldwell was forced to tap. Wow.

McKee’s record now stands at 17-0 and he advances to the finals of Bellator’s featherweight grand prix.

The former bantamweight champ Caldwell’s record, meanwhile, fell to 15-4.
