Impa Kasanganay has spoken out, after being finished in jaw-dropping fashion at UFC Fight Island 5, and he’s congratulated Joaquin Buckley for his work.

Kasanganay tells Buckley “beautiful shot”

The 26-year-old Kasanganay faced Buckley on Saturday, and his undefeated run came to a violent, crashing halt. Not only did Buckley KO Kasanganay in the second round, he did so with a spinning back kick.

The finish went viral immediately, as many are calling it one of the greatest knockouts to take place in the UFC to date.

Well, since then, Kasanganay shared out this statement.

@newmansa94 God bless you. It was an honor to step in the Octagon with you and to do what I love. Safe travels to you and your team Beautiful shot. Way to fight.

I will improve. To the @ufc and all staff members thank you for making fight Island a possibility . You are a top notch organization. I know the best is yet to come. Next steps for Kasanganay

These are classy comments from Kasanganay, and it will be interesting to see how he rebounds from this defeat. Some fighters can be traumatized by suffering such a vicious, KO, which follows them forever, via fan comments, highlight reels etc.

But, so far, it sounds like Kasaganay is in a good place mentally.
