THE NEWS

The Fight Library Podcast’s Blaine Henry put on an all Karate Combat episode interviewing Craig Ryan, Josh Quayhagen, and Jerome Brown. On the show, Ryan seems to have called out Conor McGregor for a fight in the Karate Combat Fighting Pit. Quayhagen and Henry shared some Louisiana lore — and a proposal to lure the promotion for an event in New Orleans complete with a brass band. And Jerome talked about the bout of rabdo that had him collapse in the pit after winning the main event of week one, and then led to some serious trash talking of his opponent in that bout, Abdullah Ibrahim of New York City. Listen to the podcast here.

International Shout Outs: Caledonian MMA interviewed fellow Scot Calum Robb ahead of his fight with Franklin Mina. Esteemed French TV biz newspaper La Lettre helped spread the word about GOL picking up Karate Combat rights for Spain. And SportsPro’s Ed Dixon broke the news of Adam S. Kovacs being named League President and COO of Karate Combat.

Coming up: Next week we’ll announce that Premier Sports will begin airing Karate Combat on FreeSports channel on Friday nights.
