Cowboys fans Colin Kaepernick Andy Dalton Cardinals loss

Fans of the Dallas Cowboys were so livid by the team’s blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night that some of them even called for the team to sign out-of-work quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Cowboys Fans Call For Colin Kaepernick After Devastating Loss

According to Fox News, quarterback Andy Dalton had an abysmal game in his first start for the Dallas Cowboys. The seasoned QB went 34-for-54 with 266 passing yards, a touchdown pass, and two interceptions.

The Cowboys quarterback only had one touchdown pass in the entire game, and it came with just three minutes left on the clock. By then, Arizona was already ahead 31-3.

Some fans blamed the humiliating loss on the defense being unable to cover the Cardinals’ receivers or Ezekiel Elliott’s two early fumbles, which started off the game on a sour note. But most placed the blame solely on Dalton’s shoulders.

Before long, calls were growing on Twitter for the Dallas Cowboys to ditch Andy Dalton and replace him with free agent Colin Kaepernick.

“There’s no way anyone can tell me that Andy Dalton is a better QB than Colin Kaepernick. And if you think he is, you need your head checked,” one social media user commented.

Another added simply, “Sign Kaepernick dump Dalton.”

Other fans agreed with these sentiments as well.

Kaepernick has been a free agent ever since he left the San Francisco 49ers after the 2016 season. That’s when he dominated headlines for taking a knee during the national anthem before 49ers games.

The former quarterback claimed that he was doing this to protest racial inequality in the United States. But many Americans saw the move as a clear sign of disrespect to our flag and all those who have fought and died for it.

Dallas Cowboys Owner Was Initially Against Anthem Kneeling

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was initially not in favor of Colin Kaepernick’s anthem-kneeling antics, saying at the time that anyone who “disrespects the flag” in this way will not be allowed to play on his team.

“We cannot in any way give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag,” Jones said. “We know that there is a serious debate in this country about those issues, but there is no question in my mind, that the [NFL] and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag.”

However, Jones has softened his stance on kneeling during the anthem this season. Most recently, he said simply that he wants to see his players act with grace while the patriotic song is playing.

At least one Dallas Cowboys player has taken a knee so far this season.

Colin Kaepernick Isn’t The Martyr He Portrays

Kaepernick and his fellow liberals have turned him into a martyr of sorts, claiming that he has not been signed by another team in four years because the NFL is “racist.”

Others, however, have cited his losing record in his final season with the 49ers as evidence that it’s actually his lack of football talent that has stopped him from being resigned.

The Cowboys might want to think twice before signing Kaepernick for their team. He’ll bring lots of drama with him, and he won’t even win them games.

In the end, Colin Kaepernick is not worth the trouble. And, if you ask me, he has no business playing in the NFL ever again.
