Watch The Louisville Cop Shot In Breonna Taylor Riot Walk Into Roll Call Next Day

A Louisville police officer who was shot during the first night of riots following the grand jury’s decision on the Breonna Taylor case shocked everyone by attending his next roll call less than 12 hours later.

Louisville Police Officer Shot During Breonna Taylor Riot Shows For Roll Call

Major Aubrey Gregory was shot in the hip.

This brave officer wasn’t letting his gunshot injury caused by a Black Lives Matter activist interfere with his enthusiasm to protect and serve the residents of Louisville.

Maj. Gregory is active in the Louisville community and loves his city. He made headlines five years ago where he was applauded for helping a woman struggling to breathe finish a 5k.

This man puts others before himself and cares so deeply that his attendance at the roll call was his way of signifying that he WILL be back.

The Louisville police offer shocked everyone when he not only came for roll call, but walked in. Maj. Gregory was limping, as he had just been shot in the hip the night before, but it is an incredible moment to watch.

The Major was greeted with cheers by his fellow men and women in Blue.

Major Gregory is not able to return to full service yet as he needs time to recover, but just by walking in the next day he gave a much needed boost to his fellow officers.

Officer Robinson Desroches Recovering From Surgery

Officer Robinson Desroches is the other Louisville police officer shot during the Breonna Taylor riots.

He required surgery after being shot in the abdomen. Even though Ofc. Desroches will require more time to recover, his prognosis is good.

26-year-old Larynzo Johnson was immediately arrested at the scene after being identified as the shooter.

The Black Lives Matter activist and shooter was charged with 14 counts of wanton endangerment and two counts of assault.

Video of shots being fired in Louisville is in the tweet below.

Right now, Louisville has a lot of healing to do.

So heroes like Major Gregory and Officer Desroches, who are willing to put their lives on the line to protect their community, will keep putting in the hard work for a better tomorrow.
