NFL fans boo Chiefs Texans social justice

On Thursday night, fans of the Kansas City Chiefs were heard booing as the NFL team locked arms with the Houston Texans in a moment of unity for social justice.

NFL Fans Boo Chiefs And Texans

Daily Caller reported that all the players on the Chiefs stood during the national anthem, with the exception of defensive end Alex Okafor, on the sidelines as they linked arms.

The Texans, meanwhile, stayed in the locker room while “The Star Spangled Banner” was played.

After the anthem ended, the Texans emerged from the locker room and linked arms with the Chiefs on the field. This did not sit well with the fans in the Arrowhead Stadium, however, as they immediately started booing the teams.

Kansas City Chiefs Ban Headdresses And Face Paint

This unity display comes hot on the heels of the Chiefs’ ban on headdresses and face paint. The organization banned fan regalia that is “styled in a way that references or appropriates American Indian cultures and traditions.”

“We are grateful for the meaningful conversations we have had with all of these American Indian leaders,” the team said in a statement. “It is important that we continue the dialogue on these significant topics, and we look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”

Of course, the ban is not likely to surprise NFL fans given the changes in the former Washington Redskins organization. They changed their name to the “Washington Football Team” despite Native American support of the team name and logo,

Liberals Fume About The Booing

If there’s a silver lining to any of this, it’s the liberal reaction to NFL fans booing the Chiefs and Texans. Liberals on Twitter lashed out in fury over NFL fans booing the social justice display.

“The boos during the moment of unity should make it very clear that it was never about the flag or the anthem. Those people don’t want racism to be challenged, regardless of the when, where or how,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Let’s boo a moment of unity, it’s never been about the anthem.”

#ChiefsKingdom is more trash than I gave them credit for. Booing the teams during a moment of unity? Pure classless trash,” a third user wrote.

Then a fourth added, “I would LOVE to see an interview with someone–ANYONE–in the crowd who just chose to boo a ‘moment of silence and unity.’ Just try not to sound like a complete and utter idiot putting into words why you’re angry about UNITY. Morons. All of them.”

Perhaps liberals need to consider what these NFL are really booing. These fans are sick and tired of football being politicized and weaponized by the radical left.

Those who love the game just want to escape from politics and the rest of the evils of the world while enjoying some good ol’ American football.

No one wants to be lectured by overpaid athletes about social justice and other liberal causes.
