Conor McGregor is making headlines once again, following a report that the former UFC champ was questioned by authorities, in connection to an allegation of attempted sexual assault.
McGregor and team deny the accusation
The European outlet AFP recently reported that McGregor was briefly detained by authorities in Corsica, as a result of an attempted sexual assault allegation.
” “Following a complaint filed on September 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony Mac Gregor was the subject of a hearing by the police,” the prosecutor’s office wrote.”

Since then, McGregor’s representatives shared out the following statement (via MMA Fighting).
“Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct,” the statement said. “He has been interviewed and released.”
McGregor’s manager releases fiery statement
Audie Attar, who is McGregor’s manager, also released this statement.
“I am irate and putting out a warning loud and clear: Conor McGregor is not and will not be a target for those seeking to score a headline or a payday.”
McGregor has been traveling in the Mediterranean and recently he reported he took a USADA test, while on his yacht.
The 32-year-old McGregor recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Dee Devlin. The couple have two children together.
The Irish star has made headlines before on account of run-ins with authorities. In 2018, McGregor was arrested in Brooklyn, after he threw a dolly at a bus filled with fighters, prior to UFC 223.
Then in 2019, McGregor was arrested when he took the cellphone of a man in Florida. Later that year, McGregor was also charged for punching an elderly man in a Dublin pub.
McGregor announced he was retiring from fighting this past summer. But, since then, the star has teased interest in certain MMA bouts or boxing matches.
The former lightweight and featherweight champ fought this past January, and McGregor quickly stopped Donald Cerrone.
