Karate Combat

The upcoming 12-week second season of Karate Combat has been picked up by beIN Sports.

According to multiple reports, the season will air across five continents including North America starting on September 24. The premier for places such as the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and 10 Asia-Pacific countries is scheduled for two days later.

“We’re making karate cool again,” Karate Combat president Adam Kovacs told Reuters. “It was cool for a long time, but somehow lost its swagger.”

Men and women fighters from over 40 countries are among those on the roster. The promotion is planning to expand on the backgrounds of many of those over the second season.

“Fans want knockouts, fighters want knockouts,” Kovacs said. “But we also want to see athletes meet their full potential, make a living and show the deeper traits of the martial art that they live by every day.”

Karate Combat will use Unreal Engine CGI atmospheres to take viewers to incredible locations during the series.
