Alaskan Bush People wildfires

Disaster struck the Brown’s of “Alaskan Bush People” fame yet again as the the family home was destroyed by the wildfires terrorizing the west coast. It’s been just three years since matriarch Ami battled lung cancer. Now, just as the show returned for Season 12, this tragedy is sure to devastate the stability of their “wolf pack”.

Wildfire Forces “Alaskan Bush People” To Evacuate

In 2018, the Brown family of “Alaskan Bush People” fame moved from their home in a remote area of Alaska to Washington State.

They relocated so matriarch Ami could be closer to a medical facility since she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She is now in remission, but still needs to be seen every three months.

However, the Browns were forced to evacuate their Washington State home just days ago due to out of control wildfires engulfing the west coast. The fires have destroyed 17,860 acres in Okanogan County, Washington, including the home of the reality show stars.

Bear Brown was the first of the “Alaskan Bush People” siblings to announce the fire.

He wrote on his private Instagram account, “We suffered a devastating lost [sic] yesterday, a fire swept through our mountain, our home! The lost [sic] seems to be great! It’s still burning! I’ll keep everyone posted! God bless!”

Brown Family Seeks Donations For The Red Cross

Noah, Rhain Alicia, Rain, Bird, and Bear shared the news on Instagram in a video on Sunday night. They used their tragedy as a call to action to donate to the American Red Cross.

From Popculture:

“On August 18, a wildfire broke out near the Brown family’s land. The family is safe, but the fire is still raging,” a message from Discovery read, before Noah began, “There’s been a massive wildfire on Palmer Mountain.” Bear added, “Everybody made it out completely safe … we are all totally good!” While Bird thanked the first responders “working hard” to extinguish the fire, which as of Monday morning was considered 19% contained, Rain asked that fans of the Discovery show donate if able to help people in need from the fire: “To learn how you can help those fighting wildfire devastation, visit the American Red Cross at redcross.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.”

“Alaskan Bush People” Season 12 Debuts On Discovery Channel

The coronavirus pandemic put a damper on filming Season 12 of “Alaskan Bush People”, but according to TVInsider, the Browns have been filming themselves.

In fact, this season opened with the Browns getting ready for Bear and Raiven’s wedding.

Of course, this was before the fires roared through their home.

California Wildfires Wreak Havoc

Washington isn’t the only state battling wildfires. Lightning siege has left 1.2 million acres charred since August 15. It has gotten so intense that firefighters from other states are going to the Golden State to help battle the out of control flames.

The fires are so rampant that just driving down the road can leave you in a life or death situation.

There are a dozen wildfires raging in California. The second and third worst wildfires in the state’s history are in the San Francisco Bay Area.

A rare fire tornado was spotted. The heat from the fire was so extreme that it caused a thunderstorm.

As sad as it is that the Brown family lost their home, at least they are all safe.

Our hearts go out to the Browns. And to everyone impacted by these horrifying wildfires.
