A video shoot of a bride on her wedding day in Beirut, Lebanon instantly turned from joy and celebration to horror when a massive explosion occurred on Tuesday.The dramatic video shows the explosion in Beirut that killed at least 135 people and injured thousands from a whole new perspective.

The bride, Israa Seblani, immediately ran to her new husband. The 29-year-old doctor who works in the United States had arrived in Lebanon three weeks earlier to prepare for her wedding.

It was a happy time for Seblani. She was thrilled and proud to be with her family and start her new life. 

Bride Tended To Injured Following Beirut Explosion

Those wedding-day plans changed immediately as this gorgeous bride first ran away from the scene and then went to check on injured people before fleeing Beirut’s Saifi square.

A “beautiful nightmare” describes this scene perfectly. It’s hard not to smile as the picture perfect is shown but within seconds, it all falls to shambles as the explosion is seen in the background. These newlyweds are lucky to be alive. 

This video of the explosion in Beirut shows a more human side of its devastating impact.

Simply horrific. Nobody can ever imagine something like this happening. The bride is so beautiful in this video until her blissful day changed in a split second.

Lebanese officials are claiming the explosion was caused by dangerous chemicals that were improperly stored.

Apparently, authorities knew about the thousands of tons of ammonium nitrate being held on the port for the past six years, but failed to act. 

Explosion Turns Wedding Happiness To Horror 

The couple spoke with Reuters to discuss the ordeal.  

“I have been preparing for my big day for two weeks and I was so happy like all other girls, ‘I am getting married’. My parents are going to be happy seeing me in a white dress, I will be looking like a princess,” Dr. Seblani said. 

“What happened during the explosion here – there is no word to explain … I was shocked, I was wondering what happened, am I going to die? How am I going to die?,” the bride continued.

The groom, Beirut businessman Ahmad Subeih, will be joining his wife in the United States. The couple does not feel safe living in Lebanon. They credit God with saving them on their wedding day.
