UFC Fight Night: Brunson Vs. Shahbazyan Results, Live Blog

Welcome to another week and another UFC event, this time titled UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan.

The promotion returns home to Las Vegas and the UFC Apex after a month-long run on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi and Yas Island.

In the main event live on ESPN+, Derek Brunson takes on rising contender Edmen Shahbazyan.

Brunson has fought some of the best of the best during his time inside the Octagon including former champions Anderson Silva, Robert Whittaker and Lyoto Machida, along with current UFC middleweight titleholder Israel Adesanya.

The 22-year-old Shahbazyan is a perfect 11-0 in his career including knockouts over Brad Tavares and Charles Byrd. He also trained with Ronda Rousey, the former UFC champion and Olympic medalist.

In the co-main event, Joanne Calderwood and Jennifer Maia square off in a key flyweight bout. Calderwood is 3-1 in her last four while Maia, a former Invicta FC champion, is 2-1 including a pair of decisions over Roxanne Modafferi and Alexis Davis.

Rounding out the main card will be Vicente Luque vs. Randy Brown, Lando Vannata vs. Bobby Green and Kevin Holland vs. Trevin Giles.

The prelims, which also stream live on ESPN+, feature four bouts. Frankie Saenz meets Jonathan Martinez, Johnny Munoz battles Nathan Maness, Jamall Emmers faces Vincent Cachero and Chris Gutierrez takes on Cody Durden.
