NFL Legend Herschel Walker Slams DNC For ‘Playing The Race Card Way Too Much’

Democrats constantly take it for granted that people of color are going to vote for them. Case in point: Joe Biden’s “you ain’t black” if you don’t vote for me comment. So NFL legend Herschel Walker wanted to set the record straight by calling out the Democrats for their race card shenanigans.

Herschel Walker Calls Out Democrats For ‘Race Card’

On the last night of the Democratic National Convention, Walker took to Twitter to rip Democrats for “playing the race card way too much.”

“Wow Democratic Convention, you’re playing the race card way too much tonight! You all have been in office for years and have done nothing for African Americans,” he tweeted. “Every four years you do this for a vote. And the violence and death in our communities, yet you say nothing?”

The tweet immediately went viral, garnering over 128,000 likes at the time of this writing.

Herschel’s comment came immediately after Joe Biden gave a speech at the Democratic national convention that shamelessly used race as a political tool to entice minorities to vote for him.

“History has thrust one more urgent task on us,” Biden said in the speech, according to The Washington Examiner. “Will we be the generation that finally wipes the stain of racism from our national character? I believe we’re up to it. I believe we’re ready.”

Herschel Walker Attacks Black Lives Matter

Walker has long been an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump, and he regularly speaks out against Democrats and the Black Lives Matter movement.

“I saw a bunch of people holding a BLM sign burning the Holy Bible, burning the flag of the United States of America, and also burning a cross,” Walker tweeted earlier in August. “And I started thinking, NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB — is this the people you’re supporting right now? Is it the movement? Is it the organization? Because I don’t think that’s right.”

Black Republicans On The Rise

This comes more and more prominent people of color are turning their backs on the Democratic Party.

Earlier this week, black Republican Kim Klacik went viral with a powerful campaign ad as she runs for the Baltimore congressional seat that was left vacant by the death of Rep. Elijah Cummings.

“The Democrat Party have betrayed the black people of Baltimore. If the politicians walk the streets like I do, they would see exactly how their policies and corruption affects us,” Klacik said in the ad. 

“Democrats think black people are stupid. They think they can control us forever, that we won’t demand better and that we’ll keep voting for them forever, despite what they’ve done to our families and our communities.”

If you’re familiar with rap mogul turned gospel artist Kanye West’s politics, then this might sound familiar. Kanye has long been an outspoken supporter of President Trump and a critic of the Democratic Party.

The rapper turned politician famously claimed that Democrats were “brainwashing” black American last year.

“Democrats had us voting for Democrats with food stamps for years. What are you talking about guns in the 80s, taking the fathers out the home, Plan B, lowering our votes, making us abort children,” Kanye said.
