The Road to Lion Fight is comprised of a four-man lightweight tournament with the winner receiving a Lion Fight contract including a bout in the United States.

“It has been a long and frustrating year to date with the global pandemic, so we are elated to have this opportunity to restart particularly with such a terrific event,” said Scott Kent, CEO of Lion Fight.

“The fact that we are relaunching our 2020 schedule with Bruno Botindari and his team is strong indicator of how prestigious Lion Fight is in Italy and throughout Europe. Returning to action with a Road to Lion Fight event headlined for the first time by a World title fight is very0 exciting.”

Last May, Carrara (56-4-2) debuted in Lion Fight with a clear-cut decision win over Alex Bublea at Lion Fight 55 in Monza, Italy. Just three months later at Lion Fight 60, Carrara made his way to Las Vegas and defeated Heriberto Tovar by decision in a Title Eliminator bout. Carrara is a former Bellator kickboxing and ISKA champion.

Sofokleus, who fights out of Kavala, Greece, sports a record of 130-5 and has won multiple titles, including seven WKU belts and an ISKA intercontinental crown.
