Jorge Masvidal Comments on Near Run-in With Kamaru Usman
The first 'Embedded' for UFC 251 showed that Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal nearly crossed paths in a hotel, and 'Gamebred's' found that "trippy".
Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal don’t appear to be the biggest fans of one another, which is why the first ‘Embedded’ for UFC 251 caused a bit of a stir, when it showed the rivals nearly running into each other.
So what did Masvidal think of the near run-in?
Masvidal says the close encounter was “trippy”
As you can see by watching the video below, near the end of the first ‘Embedded’ for UFC 251, cameras capture Masvidal and Usman just missing one another as they get in-and-out of elevators.
While talking to SporstCenter later, Masvidal had been made aware of what nearly happened. ‘Gamebred’, like everyone else, was taken back by what transpired (quotes via MMA Junkie).
“I didn’t know about it until they showed me the video, and that was pretty (expletive) trippy, man,” Masvidal saidt.
“That was a little surreal, because I have great peripherals, but I just happened to look right at my phone, and I had just gotten my eyes dilated, as well, so I had those funky glasses on.
So I really couldn’t see that well and, man, it just happened. …
“The bigger part of me wishes I had run into him. Just had a ‘hello, how are you’ type thing, you know? Nothing crazy.”
Uhhuh. Based off what happened when these two ran into each other a Super Bowl media event, it’s probably a good thing that didn’t occur.
