There will be no shortage of UFC title fights going down from July 11th through the 18th, and the official poster for the last of the championship bouts during that time is now out.
Fight Island 2 will take place on July 18th, on Yas Island, and it will feature a rematch between Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez for the vacant flyweight title.
The two fought for the first time in February, and Figueiredo (18-1) won via second round, stoppage. Since the Brazilian fighter missed weight, however, he was ineligible to win the belt.
In addition, an accidental headbutt dazed Benavidez (28-6) shortly before the fight was stopped, which is another reason the UFC’s gone with a rematch.
