The View Rosie O'Donnell Bill Cosby Whoopi Goldberg

Actor and comedian Rosie O’Donnell, who had two stints cohosting “The View” in the 2006-07 and 2014-15 seasons, just spoke out to trash the ABC talk show and to reveal why she no longer watches it. Rosie O’Donnell also reaffirmed her claim that “The View” forbid her from sharing her own personal account of Bill Cosby’s sexual misconduct years ago.

Rosie O’Donnell Blasts ‘The View’

In a wide-ranging interview with The Daily Beast, Rosie said that she can no longer watch “The View” because she finds it upsetting. She also feels that the show has gone downhill over the years.

“I don’t watch it anymore because it upsets me, and because I think it’s been dumbed-down a lot,” she said.

“Everyone seems to think they have their two-minute sound bite and they want to get everything in but in the old days, The View had much more of a real conversation happening live, and it doesn’t feel like that’s happening anymore.”

Rosie O’Donnell Doubles Down That ‘The View’ Silenced Her On Bill Cosby

The 58-year-old comedian also doubled down on her recent claims that she was barred from talking about an alleged sexual misconduct by Bill Cosby while on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show”.

The incident occurred before his other sexual assault accusations came to light, and Rosie insists that she was “overtly told: ‘We are not discussing it, Rosie.'”

When asked who on “The View” specifically told her that, O’Donnell replied, “One of the hosts … one of the hosts told me that.”

She would not elaborate any further on who that mysterious host was.

Bill Cosby’s Alleged Sexual Misconduct On ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show’

O’Donnell first claimed on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” last week that a producer on her own talk show was sexually harassed by Cosby in the 1990s.

“So, in the room, the green room, the producer goes in and she’s talking and saying to Bill Cosby, ‘You know, she’s not going to know that it’s you’ and he said ‘All she has to do is put her hand right here’ and he put his hand near his penis, ‘And she’ll know it’s me,’” O’Donnell recalled of the moment the incident occurred.

O’Donnell then went on to tell host Andy Cohen that when she tried to bring her personal experience up on “The View” years later. But that she was forced to stay silent on the matter.

“On ‘The View,’ they would not discuss it,” she said. “Every time I tried to bring it up, it became a little fight.”

Rosie v. Whoopi

Clearly, there is no love lost between Rosie O’Donnell and “The View”!

Part of the reason behind this could be that O’Donnell has been in a longstanding feud with Whoopi Goldberg, who continues to host the show to this day.

Given the fact that “The View” bills itself as a feminist show made by women for women, the allegations O’Donnell is making will certainly not be taken well.

Clearly, you should not expect to see Rosie back on the liberal talk show anytime soon!
