Jon Gosselin Opens Up About Why 6 Of His 8 Children Are Not ‘Communicating’ With Him

Former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star Jon Gosselin is opening up this week about not being on speaking terms with six of the eight children that he shares with his ex-wife Kate.

Jon Gosselin Says He Is Not ‘Communicating’ With Six Of His Children

Jon is reportedly very close to two of his children, Hannah and Collin, who live with him and his girlfriend in Pennsylvania.

Unfortunately, however, Jon just confirmed that he has no communication with the other six. 

“My other kids, we’re not really communicating right now, but Hannah and Collin live with me,” Jon told Entertainment Tonight over the weekend. 

Jon went on to say that not speaking to his children is not his decision, as he would love for the family to reunite. 

“I’m not stopping them from coming together,” Jon said. “[Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden] aren’t talking to me, but they’re talking to Hannah. I don’t get involved now with what the kids … it’s what the kids want to do.”

“If they don’t want to talk to me, that’s fine, as long as they keep up with their sibling connections,” he added. “Eventually, if they come around and they want to talk to me, that’s cool.”

Jon and Kate Gosselin are parents to 19 year-old twins and 16 year-old sextuplets.

The couple split in 2009, and the divorce was messy to say the least. Kate eventually got custody of all of the children, with Hannah and Collin voluntarily leaving her home to move in with their father in 2018. 

Hope For A Gosselin Family Reunion

Jon made it clear that there is nothing that he would love more than a reunion. 

“It wouldn’t have to be lovey-dovey. Just like, ‘How you guys doing? Where are you going to college?'” he said.  “Maybe call me for advice.”

He then described his last group visit with all eight kids as “volatile,” adding, “It was just … a lot going on. Like, forced custody and all that kind of stuff.”

Jon also said that he and Kate do not speak at all.

“It’s just like that person doesn’t exist anymore,” he said. 

Jon Gosselin Blasts Kate As ‘Narcissistic And Selfish’

This comes one year after Jon branded Kate as “narcissistic and selfish” in an interview with Daily Mail.

“She always speaks for the children,” he said at the time. “They say this, they want to do this – unicorns, rainbows and look, flying pigs. It’s all lies. They all have voices.”

It’s always sad to see a family fall apart the way the Gosselin family has.

For those who watched their show over a decade ago when the Gosselin family was one tight unit, it’s unimaginable how far they have fallen.

We can only hope that some healing takes place for everyone involved, and that Jon is able to reestablish some kind of relationship with his other children.

Life is too short to hold grudges, especially against close family members.
