Things weren’t looking good for Eddie Alvarez, in the opening moments of his bout last August with former ONE champ, Eduard Folayang. But, the decorated fighter ended up scoring one of the year’s more memorable come-from-behind wins at “Dawn of Heroes”.
Well, recently Alvarez reflected on the pivotal victory, while watching the bout with fellow, former UFC champ Miesha Tate.
As you can see by watching the video below, Alvarez admits that he was in big, big trouble against Folayang, as a result of the latter’s leg kicks. But, thanks to some beautiful jiu-jitsu, Alvarez was able to record a jaw-dropping win.
The victory returned Alvarez to the win column, as heading into the bout the 36-year-old was coming off losses to Dustin Poirier and Timofey Nastyukhin.
In the video, “The Underground King” also discusses his run with ONE Championship so far, and how he has adjusted his workouts at home as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
