Whoopi Goldberg humiliated herself on the ABC talk show “The View” this morning when she called for Joe Biden’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden, to be named as Surgeon General. The problem: Mrs. Biden is a PhD and her title is not a result of any medical degree.

“The View” panel was discussing former Vice President Biden’s strong showing on Super Tuesday earlier today. That’s when Whoopi opened her mouth to insert foot, according to Fox News.
Whoopi enthusiastically told the panel that she’d like his wife be appointed as Surgeon General.
“I’m hoping Dr. Jill becomes the surgeon general … she’s a hell of a doctor. She’s an amazing doctor,” Goldberg said confidently, as if she knew all about her degree.
Meghan McCain was the first to throw water on Whoopi’s gaffe by responding, “I could be wrong. I thought she was a PhD.”
“She’s a teacher,” co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in, “but, you know, might be good for Betsy DeVos’ post.”
Hostin was referring to the Secretary of Education, who has become a popular target of the Left since her appointment.
The Problem With Whoopi’s Biden Endorsement
In this country, it should be the goal to appoint qualified individuals to critical government positions.
Dr. Jill Biden is simply not qualified to be Surgeon General. She received her doctoral degree in education leadership from the University of Delaware in 2007.
It wasn’t until after “The View” went to commercial break that Whoopi finally admitted that her enthusiastic endorsement was off base.
“I was wrong, before you start texting and emailing,” she said somewhat sheepishly.
Clearly another well-informed liberal. Did you see how confident Whoopi sounded when applauding the former second lady as “an amazing doctor”?
The daytime host obviously had absolutely no information to back up her statement. Let alone an understanding of what kind of “doctor” Jill Biden actually is.
Yet “The View” host presented herself as apparent expert on the subject just to get the public behind her personal opinion.
The Media Cannot Be Trusted
Whoopi Goldberg choosing to plug Jill Biden on national TV is a prime example. This nonsense shows how how members of the mainstream media will say absolutely anything to make Biden look good, and President Donald Trump look bad. Regardless of whether their statement is true.
Biden makes gaffes on nearly a daily basis, yet the mainstream media rarely (if ever) censures him.
Meanwhile, the slightest mistake from Trump is a major news story that dominates the news cycle for hours if not days at a time.
As the 2020 election continues to heat up in the coming weeks and months, let this serve as a reminder.
Take everything members of the mainstream media say about the candidates with a grain of salt. Do your research. Corroborate facts and statements for yourself.
The mainstream media’s agenda is clear. And they will do and say anything to ensure their candidate of choice wins.
We are not the gullible sheep that the media thinks we are. So let’s make up our own minds as to who earns our vote.
