Queen Excludes Harry And Meghan During Final Royal Appearance, On-Camera Reunion Is Icy

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reunited with Prince William and Kate Middleton yesterday as they carried out the last of their official duties as senior members of the British royal family. Unfortunately, the reunion between the “Fab Four” was not what fans of the royals hoped to see as the Queen’s office excluded Harry and Meghan from the official royal party. This made for an awkward situation between Harry, Meghan, William and Kate. The on-camera tension between the two couples is palpable.

Harry And Meghan Go To Church

Daily Mail reported that the royal family attended the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey yesterday, and it was thought that this would be a fitting end to Harry and Meghan’s time as royals.

However, what was meant to be a happy family affair quickly turned sour when Harry and Meghan learned that they had not been invited to join the Queen, Prince William, and Kate in the VIP party.

Much to their dismay, Harry and Meghan, however, were told to make their own way to their seats before the arrival of the senior royals.

At the last second, Prince William and Kate tried to diffuse the situation by offering to join an “emotional” Harry and Meghan as they waited at their seats for the senior royals to arrive.

But it was too late. The damage was already done as the programs for the service clearly stated that only William and Kate would enter with the royal party. This made it embarrassingly clear to the public that Harry and Meghan were not part of the official royal entourage.

Awkward Video Footage Of The Two Couples

Video footage of the couples arriving to the service further emphasized how incredibly awkward the situation was.

The two couples barely interacted. Their only on-camera acknowledgment of one another came when Meghan was seen to say “hi” and then “hello” to William. Who appeared not to even hear her the first time.

Meghan’s grin seemed uncomfortable as William greeted her with a quick hello in return. And the couples were not seen to engage each other further on camera.

Meghan seemed determined to keep an enormous smile on her face throughout the entire service. At one point, the Duchess of Sussex was seen talking animatedly to Harry’s uncle Prince Edward.

The term “grin and bear it” comes to mind.

Of course, social media users were quick to comment on the awkward dynamic between the royal siblings and their wives.

“And William and Kate ignored them. Shameful …” one Twitter user wrote, according to Page Six.

“I’m still chipping the ice off my phone screen! Ouch!” another added. “Definitely a chill between the Cambridges and Sussexes. Meghan attempted to say hello 3 times to no avail. Harry does NOT look happy at all.”

The decision to not include Harry and Meghan in the entrance was made by the Queen’s office directly, specifically by her private secretary Edward Young.

This hurt Harry and Meghan’s feelings since they will technically still be royals until March 31, maintaining their titles until that date.

Harry And Meghan Have No Business Complaining

Frankly, Harry and Meghan have a lot of nerve getting upset when they’re the ones who asked for this. Moreover, their pity party is quite rich given all they have put the aging Queen through in recent months.

They’ve made it clear that they wish to have no part in the royal family given their abrupt declaration. So why should they be afforded any of the luxuries and honors that are given to senior royals?

Harry and Meghan show once again that they behave more like entitled millennials than proper royalty. All things considered, it seems they made the right choice. These two should feel more at home in the Hollywood crowd than they do in the presence of her majesty, the Queen, and the rest of the royal family.
