Country music legend Dolly Parton just shocked her fans by announcing that she wants to pose for Playboy Magazine again after 42 years. Dolly says it’d be a ‘hoot’ to grace the cover when she turns 75 next year. Although she worries the iconic men’s magazine may not agree.
Dolly Parton Wants To Pose For Playboy … Again
“Well, I don’t plan to retire. I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again,” Patron told “60 Minutes Australia,” according to Fox News.
“I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it would be such a hoot if they’ll go for it — I don’t know if they will — if I can be on the cover again when I am 75…”
Dolly Parton’s 1978 Playboy Cover
Dolly Parton appeared on the cover of Playboy in October of 1978, becoming the first country music star to do so.
The country superstar’s website states that she had very specific parameters when it came to nudity before she appeared on the magazine cover.
“I wasn’t naked; all you saw was me in my bunny suit, with my boobs sticking out a little. I wouldn’t do a layout.” Parton recalled.
When asked if she planned to “whip out the same outfit” for the shoot, Dolly responded, “Maybe, I could probably use it. Boobs are still the same.”
Despite her advanced age, the country music icon has no plans on slowing down anytime soon.
“I always say good lighting, good makeup and good doctors – and a good attitude don’t hurt either,” Dolly said with a laugh. “When I’m 90, I’ll probably look about the same way. Just thicker makeup, bigger hair!”

Playboy Cover Resurfaces As ‘Tinder Profile’
Her 1978 Playboy cover resurfaced back in January, when she started the “Dolly Parton Challenge,” a social media challenge in which users would mash four contrasting images of themselves that would represent profile pictures from each social media platform: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder. For the representation of her Tinder profile, Dolly used her iconic Playboy cover.
“Get you a woman who can do it all,” Parton captioned the post.
It’s nice to see that after all these years, the ‘Jolene’ singer has still got it! She still looks as amazing as ever, so why not pose for Playboy magazine again?
If Dolly Parton graces the Playboy cover again at 75, it would serve as a reminder to the world that age really is just a number. And that true beauty never fades!
