Dale Earnhardt Jr. is about to be a father again. The legendary NASCAR family is about to add another member to its ranks as Dale’s wife Amy just announced she is expecting the couple’s second child. She shared a video of Junior learning the good news that will leave all NASCAR fans smiling.
Amy and Dale have been married for three years and already share an adorable daughter named Isla, who will turn two on April 30th.
Even though he is semi-retired now, Dale is NASCAR’s 15-time most popular driver and fans still love him.
Amy first showed her social media followers a video of Isla making the big announcement that she is not going to be an only child much longer. “I’m gonna be a sister!,” the blonde toddler proclaims in the video below as she throws her hands in the air.

Amy followed that up with a video where she shares the big news with her 45-year-old husband.
When Dale saw that his daughter was wearing a shirt that said “Super Amazing Sister.” Dale unintentionally had a comical response as he didn’t understand Isla’s shirt.
“What?! How do you know it’s a girl?!,” the confused father said.
“She’s the sister either way!” Amy said about Isla’s shirt. She will still be a sister even if Amy and Dale’s second child is a boy!
“Really?! Oh my God! This is a joke!,” the NASCAR driver replied in the Instagram video below.
Dale is very much a hands on father with Isla, so it’s certain that his second child can expect the same style of parenting.

This exciting news comes just seven months after Amy, Dale, and Isla were involved in a fiery airplane crash in Tennessee. Thankfully, they survived without injury even though they were all taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Afterwards, the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro thanked his fans.
“Amy and I want to thank everyone who has lifted us up with phone calls, messages and prayer,” Dale Jr. said on social media. “We are truly blessed that all on board escaped with no serious injuries, including our daughter, our two pilots and our dog Gus.”
Amy and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have been hoping for a second child since Isla was just six months old. So this happy announcement is more of a blessing than a surprise!
