UFC Norfolk: Felicia Spencer Storms Through Zarah Fairn

Felicia Spencer ate a couple of shots early on into her bout tonight with Zarah Fairn. But, after the featherweight contender turned to her grappling and top game she proceeded to put away Fairn.

Round one

Spencer pressured early on while Fairn looked to counter. Fair scored with some nice punches early on. Spencer clinched up around 90 seconds in and started looking for a takedown. Fair defended for a while but eventually, Spencer swept her down. The latter moved into mount and landed several elbows from above. Spencer tagged Fairn with a couple more elbows that clearly hurt her. Spencer continued to hammer away with shots and elbows from above and the fight was stopped. Dominant win for Spencer.

Spencer was fighting for the first time tonight since she lost via decision to Cris “Cyborg” last July.
