The consensus is that Jon Jones will defend his light-heavyweight title tonight at UFC 247.  Accordingly, the champ is carrying big odds on the betting lines to defeat Dominick Reyes. But, the last man to fight Reyes, Chris Weidman, is predicting the undefeated contender is going to score the upset tonight.

Weidman makes bold prediction for Jones – Reyes

Reyes (12-0) has been tapped for a title shot after going 6-0 in the UFC to date. In his last outing, in October, he knocked Weidman out in the first round.

Well, whether it’s due to how his bout played out with Reyes or not, Weidman recently made this bold call for tonight’s fight:

“I got Reyes winning by KO”

If you’re wondering, Jones is currently carrying odds ranging from -415 to -556 for tonight’s main event. Reyes, on the other hand, has odds ranging from +290 to +400.

Weidman responds to a fan

One fan, evidently, thinks Weidman’s prediction isn’t in touch with reality. Prompting the following response from the former middleweight champ:

“Delusional? Can I not have a opinion?” Weidman said. “Do you think Jones is unbeatable? That would be delusion.”

We shall see what happens. Do you think Reyes could shock the world tonight? Even if he wins by decision, it will rock combat sports, big time.

UFC 247 will take place in Houston, Texas.
