NASCAR fans were thrilled to see a photo of Ryan Newman walking out of the hospital with his two daughters following Monday night’s horrific crash at the Daytona 500. But, that photo along with a video shared by Ryan Newman’s recently estranged wife, Krissie, have some fans hoping the pair reunite.
Just days before the Daytona 500, both Krissie and Ryan Newman tweeted statements that the two were separating after sixteen years of marriage. And also that the two plan to keep things friendly for the sake of their two young daughters.
The news of this split hit a lot of fans hard as the Newmans were one of NASCAR’s most recognizable couples.
On Sunday, when the Daytona 500 began, Krissie let her Twitter followers know that she wasn’t on hand to see Ryan race. She shared a photo of the beach.
Krissie even implied in another tweet that she wasn’t even watching. Things quickly changed after the crash.
Krissie Newman tweeted “OMG” immediately following the crash. Many fans feared the worst and wife Krissie apparently did too.

While Rousch Fenway provided most of the updates, Krissie joined in by sharing a personal picture that of Ryan wearing a hospital gown while surrounded by their daughters that really got fans cheering. Just two days after the horrific crash, Newman was smiling and standing. His estranged wife was also at the hospital with him.
Finally, Rousch Fenway Racing tweeted that Ryan had actually left the hospital. Shockingly, the news came less than 48 hours after the terrifying crash. And the racing community collectively exhaled.

But then, Newman’s wife Krissie shocked the NASCAR world by sharing a video of Ryan walking out of the hospital without shoes and accompanied by their two daughters.
Remarkably, the driver of the No. 6 Mustang looks quite steady on his feet with no sign of a limp.
It was rather obvious to many fans that when Ryan needed her, Krissie came to the hospital even though the couple is separated. Of course, this led to much speculation and hope that the couple can find a way to make things right again.
Especially when Krissie Newman chose to caption the sweet video of Ryan walking with his two girls with “Best sight ever”. She’s clearly thankful to have Ryan safe and back with the family. Which means fans have shifted from praying for Ryan’s recovery to praying for the Newmans’ reconciliation!
This entire situation might having Ryan and Krissie Newman evaluating their situation and their current course. Many feel that the 42-year-old NASCAR driver has been given a second chance at life and should take advantage of it.
As one fan tweeted below, God might be sending Ryan Newman a message. He was allowed to walk out of that hospital just two days after looking death in the face at Daytona.
