You don’t see knockouts from slams all that often in MMA, and the one that took place at LFA 82 on Friday night, was particularly memorable.
Undefeated featherweight Jake Childers moved his record to 7-0 at the event by taking out Nate Richardson with a slam in round one. But, as you can see by watching the clip below, the slam wasn’t that hard. If you watch closely, however, it looks like Richardson’s chin slams off his own shoulder and also Childer’s chin.
Richardson was riding a five fight winning streak heading into the fight, and his record now stands at 7-2.
In the main event, Alex Polizzi secured the vacant light-heavyweight title by tapping out Jamal Pogues with a fourth round, heel hook.
Polizzi improved his record to 6-0 while Pogues’ fell to 7-3.
Here are the complete results for LFA 82, which took place at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota (results via Combat Press.com).
