Alex Perez continues to rebound from his loss to Joseph Benavidez in 2018, as the flyweight contender scored an impressive, submission win over Jordan Espinosa at UFC Raleigh.

Round one

Both flyweights came out with a lot of movement but Perez pressured more often. After a few exchanges Perez took Espinosa down. From there, Perez moved into an arm-triangle choke, and although it was from the opposite side he choked Espinosa out. It was a big and impressive win for Perez.

With the victory, the California fighter now holds a record of 22-5. Perez has gone 4-1 to date in the UFC.
