Due to comments Conor McGregor has recently made about his intention to box again, talk about him facing the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. again, is making the rounds. Well, following McGregor’s emphatic win at UFC 246, Mayweather Jr.s’ camp shared out mock posters for matches with both McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Mayweather starts push for rematch with McGregor

Prior to UFC 246, which saw McGregor quickly put away Donald Cerrone, he relayed he plans to take more boxing matches. McGregor expressed an interest in facing Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr. again (who stopped him in their bout in 2017).

Well, recently Pacquiao’s team created a mock poster to drive interest in a bout between the Filipino star and McGregor. More recently, Mayweather’s camp released the poster below:

And one for Nurmagomedov too….

In recent weeks, Khabib has said he wants to box Mayweather Jr. as well, which is likely why the undefeated boxer also shared the poster below.

Now, as it stands right now, the chances of Mayweather – McGregor 2 or Mayweather – Nurmagomedov happening this year seems pretty slim. Especially the latter. Khabib is one of the greatest MMA fighters ever. But it’s hard to imagine there being a lot of interest in seeing Khabib – who is not regarded as an elite striker – box one of the greatest boxers of all time.

All this aside, Dana White has confirmed he’s going to be working with Mayweather in the coming year. So it will be interesting to see what that entails.
