Henry Cejudo recently called for a fight with Jose Aldo, following the latter’s loss at UFC 245, and Joseph Benavidez isn’t happy about it (not surprisingly…).

Benavidez slams Cejudo for Aldo call out

Aldo made his bantamweight debut this past weekend and came up short, as he lost to Marlon Moraes via split decision. Quite a few people had the fight for Aldo, however, and after the card Dana White reported that Cejudo wants to face the Brazilian legend next.

Well, Cejudo didn’t stop there, however, as the flyweight and bantamweight champ also shared out the video clip below (warning: if you hate to cringe, you may want to skip watching it).

Benavidez proceeded to tell the decorated wrestler this (warning: expletive to follow).

It’s obvious you don’t want to fight me and have no interest of going back down to flyweight. Just stop stringing sh-t along with the company and the division. I’m ready to Fight! @danawhite @Mickmaynard2

Can you blame Benavidez?

Now, even if you want to see Cejudo and Aldo battle next, you have to feel bad for Benavidez here. The perennial flyweight contender has won three in a row, he beat Cejudo back in 2016, and initially, White said Cejudo should fight Benavidez next.

Further, Cejudo hasn’t defended the 125 title since last January, when he quickly put away T.J. Dillashaw. So, if he doesn’t commit to defending that belt next, one would think Benavidez will be fighting for an interim belt at a minimum.
