Francis Ngannou has made it very clear recently that he wants to fight, and he wants to fight soon. To that end, the feared slugger has called out Alexander Volkov, and it looks like he may have found a scrap.

Ngannou calls out Volkov for UFC 246

Due to Ngannou’s recent run of devastation, which saw him take out Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos in the opening round, “The Predator” is knocking on the title shot door again. But, the UFC is looking at having champion Stipe Miocic and former champ Daniel Cormier fight for a third time.

Well, Ngannou has let it be known that he doesn’t want to sit on the sidelines any longer.

More recently, Ngannou (14-3) challenged Volkov (31-7) to scrap at UFC 246, and the following exchange ensued:

@AlexDragoVolkov
What’s your schedule for January 18th looks like?! Let me offer you a free trip in the most entertaining city in the world (

@francis_ngannou
How about Paris in March? Or you are too afraid to fall in front of your audience?

Paris in March or tomorrow in a phone booth, I will fight you anywhere. Just sign the damn contract this time. Call
@danawhite
ASAP.

Could Ngannou – Volkov happen?

It very well could. Volkov is coming off a decision win over Greg Hardy, which returned him to the win column, following his stoppage loss to Derrick Lewis last October. So, if he could beat Ngannou – the #2 ranked fighter in the heavyweight division – it would likely deliver him a title shot.

Of course, getting by one of the most dangerous men on the planet probably won’t be easy.
