Colin Kaepernick is undoubtedly feeling humiliated right now. One of the players the teamless quarterback threw to during his infamous workout last month has been signed to an NFL team. This is hugely embarrassing for Kaepernick because he has yet to be signed to an NFL team himself.
The Washington Redskins have signed Jordan Veasy as a wide receiver just weeks after he worked out with Kaepernick at an Atlanta high school. During the workout, Veasy caught a 50-yard pass from Kaepernick that was described as one of the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback’s best throws.
Veasy had been on the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad earlier in 2019. But, he was cut from the team in October. In a new interview, he credited Kaepernick’s workout with helping him find a new team.
“It helped,” Veasy told The Washington Post. “That’s one of the reasons I wanted to be a part of it. Just being a part of the history of it, and I knew it was going to help me.”

He went on to explain that he was at his home in Gadsden, Alabama when he heard that Kaepernick was planning a workout in front of NFL teams in Atlanta. Since the Georgia city is only two hours away from Gadsden, Veasy decided to make the drive for the workout.
“I was going to be in Gadsden running routes anyway,” he said. “Might as well run ’em in front of some scouts.”
Veasy added that he had a workout for the Cleveland Browns, but he did not get a contract from them. He then received an offer from the Redskins without having to do another workout.

Kaepernick’s workout was meant to serve as a showcase for him to show off his skills for NFL teams in the hopes of getting him signed. However, the workout descended into controversy when Kaepernick changed the location at the last minute, meaning many teams were not able to attend.
Kaepernick made headlines in 2016 when he started taking a knee during the national anthem before 49ers games to protest against racial inequality in the United States. Many saw this as as blatant sign of disrespect towards the American flag and those who have given their lives for it.
Kaepernick left the 49ers at the end of the 2016 season, and he has not been signed by another team since. Liberals have tried to portray Kaepernick as a martyr of sorts. They claim that he has not been signed by another team for racist reasons. Others, however, have pointed out that Kaepernick led the 49ers to a pathetic losing record in 2016, so it’s likely his lack of football talent that has caused him not to be picked up.
We’re glad to see that no NFL team has buckled to liberal pressure and signed this anti-American, and we hope that Kaepernick won’t be signed by another team ever again.
