Jorge Masvidal

Nate Diaz recently turned heads throughout combat sports by hinting he’s done with the fight game. But, since then, Jorge Masvidal’s told his former foe that he’ll be ready to throw hands, if and when Diaz returns.

Diaz tells the fight game “peace out”

Diaz started calling for a rematch with Masvidal right after their UFC 244 headliner was called, as a result of a large cut Diaz had over his right eye. Diaz said he wanted to run it back immediately, and Masvidal said he was down. Dana White, however, sounded less convinced an immediate rematch should materialize next. That prompted Diaz to tell the fight game “peace out”.

Masvidal’s response

Well, since then, Masvidal directed the comment below to Diaz via social media.

Heard it might be true, if so it was fun sharing the #cage with you. Whenever you get that itch again, let’s run it back. I’m gonna go make this paper in the mean time @natediaz209 #theresurrection

So, it will be interesting to see what happens here. Could this prompt Diaz to resume pushing for a rematch with Masvidal? Maybe. But, he did already make it pretty clear that he wants a rematch, and if that didn’t happen, a hiatus from fighting could happen.

In other words, don’t be surprised if Masvidal’s next fight is against the winner of the December 14th bout between welterweight champ Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington.
