Team Hulk Hogan Finalized For Crown Jewel With New Caption
Universal Champion Seth Rollins has wrestled two matches in one night several times for WWE, but that will not be the case at Crown Jewel. Rollins was originally booked as the caption for Team Hulk Hogan vs. Team Ric Flair and also in a Falls Count Anywhere title match against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.
Hogan mentioned on Twitter how Rollins needs to bow out of the tag match and focus on the Universal Championship. Also, we learned that Rollins vs. Wyatt must have a winner; so, do not look for another disastrous ending like at Hell in a Cell.

On SmackDown, we then learned the rest of Hogan’s team as he mentioned that Ali, Shorty G and new team caption Roman Reigns would join Rusev and Ricochet. They will battle Flair’s team of Randy Orton, King Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Lashley. The final member for Flair’s team is yet to be announced. So, we might learn the final name this week or WWE could keep it a surprise until the actual event.
Fox Wanted Brock Lesnar Or Ronda Rousey On SmackDown
Speaking of Crown Jewel, one the high profile bouts is WWE Champion Brock Lesnar taking on Cain Velasquez. As of right now, Velasquez is not assigned to a brand and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that will remain as is until after the show.
The report also addressed Lesnar being placed on SmackDown. That decision was made by Fox as they wanted either Lesnar or Ronda Rousey to part of the blue brand.
The last time fans saw Rousey was at WrestleMania 35, where Becky Lynch pinned her in controversial fashion. There is no word on when she will return to TV, but Triple H said Rousey will be back sooner than later.
Lesnar vs. Velasquez will be a rematch from about nine years. That time around, Velasquez defeated Lesnar to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship within the first round.
Crown Jewel is Thursday, October 31, and comes from Saudi Arabia.
