Lori Loughlin Desperate To Know What Prison Is Like, Reaches Out To Felicity Huffman

A source close to Lori Loughlin just revealed that the former “Fuller House” actress reached out to Felicity Huffman about prison. Loughlin’s desperation is growing as her college admissions scandal sentencing nears.

The 56-year-old former “Desperate Housewives” star reported to the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, CA know as “Club Fed” on October 15, 2019 to begin her 14-day sentence.

Lori Loughlin reportedly plans to reconnect with Huffman again once the convicted “Desperate Housewives” star completes her prison sentence. She wants to hear first-hand what life is like behind bars.

Lori Loughlin Contacts Felicity Huffman About Prison

Fox News reported that one source said that Lori Loughlin first reached out to Huffman before her sentencing in the college admissions scandal last month.

“She wanted to encourage her, and see how she was doing,” the source told People Magazine. “She feels like their fates are tied together now, even though they weren’t really friends before.”

The source went on to say that Loughlin is planning to reach out to Huffman once again when the latter is out of prison.

“She wants to debrief Felicity after jail to find out what it was like and what her advice would be,” the source said.

“She feels like Felicity’s time in jail will be an indicator on her own time, and she’s extremely curious to know how it goes.”

Huffman Plead Guilty – Loughlin Did Not

Huffman plead guilty to charges that she paid $15,000 in bribe money for someone to correct her daughter’s SAT exam. Loughlin, however, plead not guilty to her charges despite facing more serious charges than Huffman.

Loughlin is facing forty years in prison. Yet the former Hallmark leading leady reportedly stands by her not guilty plea.

“She’s definitely hoping that Felicity’s time in prison will go easy for her, because that will be a positive sign that, if Lori has to serve time, that she’ll be able to weather it as well,” the source added.

“Of course, it’s still very important for her to be exonerated of all charges against her. She still maintains her innocence and hopes it won’t come to that. But if she does end up serving time in prison, she wants to know what she’s getting into.”

Lori Loughlin Faces Harsher Sentence For Role In Scandal

Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 in bribe money. The bribe allegedly got their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team despite neither girl having rowed before.

U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Andrew Lelling warned that Loughlin will likely get a far harsher sentence than Huffman did.

“I can’t tell you what that would be, but the longer the case goes… I think certainly we would ask for something substantially higher,” he said earlier this month, according to New York Daily News.

Not everyone agrees. A Republican who ran for the West Virginia Senate and is a self-proclaimed expert on U.S. and foreign policy had some harsh words for U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling.

My Take

Based on outcomes for Huffman and other defendants, Loughlin should be in panic mode right now. It’s starting to look like she could be spending some major time behind bars.

Perhaps she should also follow Huffman’s lead and take some responsibility for her actions. If Loughlin can’t even do that, prison might be the best place for her after all.

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
