Felicity Huffman was just publicly humiliated by her former “Desperate Housewives”costar Ricardo Chavira. He slammed her two-week prison sentence for her role in the infamous college admissions scandal as “white privilege.”

Chavira Blasts Huffman’s Prison Sentence

Fox News reported that Chavira, who played Carlos Solis and worked with Huffman for eight years on the hit ABC television show, blasted her prison sentence in a series of tweets that surfaced on Tuesday.

“White Privilege. And I saw Eight years worth of it, so I know what I’m talking about. Accountability and Responsibility don’t mean s**t to these people,” Chavira wrote. “I saw Eight years worth of it working on Housewives. I’ve seen a lifetime of it being a halfbreed, and I’ve struggled w the intricacies of it on a daily basis w all the cultural bias I’ve received on both ends. But whatever. Slap on the wrist. Sorry, but this s—.”

“But it’s not about race,” he concluded. “Tired of stupid people and their stupid arguments. If you haven’t lived it, you really have no say. Stay in your lane.”

Felicity Took Responsibility

Huffman received her two week prison last month after she pled guilty to paying someone $15,000 to change her daughter’s incorrect SAT answers. Set to report to prison on October 25, Huffman will also pay a $30,000 fine, receive one year of probation, and must perform 250 hours of community service.

“I think this is the right sentence here,” U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani told Huffman during sentencing. “You can move forward and rebuild your life after this. Without this sentence, I think the community around you would ask why you got away with this.”

Huffman had written a letter to the judge saying that she felt “a deep and abiding shame” for what she did. She explained that her motive was to give her daughter, who has a learning disability and struggles with math, the best chance she could to become an actress.

Prosecutors Found Her To Be ‘Least Culpable’ of The Defendants

U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling described Huffman as the “least culpable” of anyone who was involved in the college admissions scandal. He added that the fact that she got any prison time at all sends a clear warning to those who were more heavily involved.

“It just happened to be that Ms. Huffman was probably the least culpable of the defendants who we’ve charged in that case,” he said. “She took responsibility almost immediately, she was contrite, did not try to minimize her conduct. I think she handled it in a very classy way.”

“At the end of the day, we thought the one month was proportional,” he added of prosecutors’ initial sentence recommendation for Huffman. “I think the two weeks that she actually got was also reasonable. We were happy with that. I think it was a thoughtful sentence.”

While many have said that Huffman got off too lightly, Chavira’s comments seem a little bit extreme. Unlike other parents involved in this scandal, like “Fuller House” actress Lori Loughlin, Huffman accepted responsibility for what she did from day one. This combined with the fact that prosecutors found her to be the “least culpable” of the defendants should fairly result in a lesser prison sentence.

Despite what the left says, not everything is about race, and Huffman’s skin color does not seem to be relevant to this case in the slightest. It’s sad that a former costar would try to use her misery just to get himself back in the spotlight.
