Rumored Dates For WWE’s Next Draft, AEW World Title Returned

WWE Draft Expected Over Two Nights In October

The move to FOX this fall for SmackDown could also signal the arrival of members of the RAW roster, as both Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline. and John Pollock of POST Wrestling are reporting the draft will take place around that shift.

The two-night draft event would begin on Friday, October 11 on SmackDown from Las Vegas and conclude three nights later when RAW heads to Denver. The SmackDown episode would be the second on FOX.

WWE could be setting the stages for distinct and different red and blue brands with USA Network and FOX officials being some of the first to know about the changes set to be made around the draft. The 2019 WWE Draft is expected to be the only major shift in regards to providing fresh wrestlers and faces on new networks moving forward.

As has been the case with changes lately, Vince McMahon is said to be the driving force behind all things regarding the draft.

In April of this year, the Superstar Shakeup was used to mix rosters up. However, the Wild Card rule has pretty much allowed for anything and everyone to jump back and forth between the two shows since.

AEW World Title Recovered By Florida Police

Chris Jericho’s newest world title is believed to have been recovered, as Tallahassee, Florida police provided an update on social media regarding the belt won over the weekend.

Jericho’s title, which he claimed with a victory vs. Adam Page at AEW All Out, was believed to have been stolen while the veteran had dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse Sunday following the performance. Early Wednesday, the Tallahassee Police Department posted on social media that they had the belt, adding “Chris Jericho we hvae something that belongs to you. Celebrate with #ALittleBitOfTheBubbly. (responsibly of course)! More information to follow. #foundit #championshipbelt.”

The post was removed, but the AEW Twitter account caught wind of it and used a screenshot to tell people “Case solved .. thank you (Tallahassee Police Department).”

Jericho, who added the AEW title to previously won championships in the WWE, posted a video message regarding the lost belt, saying “less than 24 hours after I became the first AEW champion, with blood streaming down my face after one of the hardest matches I’ve ever had in my life, some low life scumbag committed grand larceny and robbed me. I’m launching a worldwide investigation. I promise to regain and resort and reclaim the AEW championship.”
