Rumors are swirling that Lori Loughlin is going to divorce her husband Massimo Giannulli amidst the couple’s ongoing scandal, with sources saying that their own daughter is “extremely concerned” that her parents are going to split up.

Lori Loughlin and Husband Struggle Behind Closed Doors

Loughlin and her husband Giannulli are currently facing facing forty years in prison. Together they await trial on charges related to the college admissions scandal alleging they paid $500,000 to have their two daughters, Isabella “Bella” and Olivia Jade, admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team even though neither girl had ever rowed. Elle reported that while Loughlin and Giannulli have kept up a united front in public, things are not going well for the couple behind closed doors.

“Their daughter Bella [who still lives with them] is extremely concerned they’re going to get divorced,” one source said. The insider added that Loughlin “regrets” not taking a plea deal that was taken by many of the other parents involved in the case, including actress Felicity Huffman. This deal would have put them in jail for just a few months, but Giannulli refused to take it.

“Lori was inclined to take the deal, but Mossimo said it would ruin both of their careers,” the source said. “He is expecting to be fully exonerated and will refuse any other plea-deal offers.”

Lori Loughlin’s Friends Pressure Her To Leave Husband Giannulli

Another source said that Loughlin’s friends have been pressuring her to leave Giannulli.

“Her friends think she should leave him,” the source said. “But Lori refuses and says the ordeal has made them stronger.”

US Magazine reported that Loughlin and Giannulli most recently butted heads over whether or not they should take a private jet from Los Angeles to Boston for a court appearance last month.

“The couple was advised by their lawyers not to,” the source said, adding that Loughlin agreed, “but Mossimo insisted, saying it would be a ‘zoo’ if they flew commercial.”

College Admissions Scandal Has Taken A Toll On Loughlin’s Marriage

Another source told E! News that the stress of the past few months has taken a major toll on the couple’s marriage.

“It’s been very stressful and the most challenging year of their lives,” the source said. “It’s been hard on their marriage because of all the decision making and not always seeing eye to eye. There’s been a lot of sleepless nights and rough days.”

However, this source said that divorce is not on the horizon for the pair.

“It’s not perfect and they don’t always agree on things, but they also know that they have to stay united through this process,” the insider said. “They are in this together and know they have to stay strong. They support one another and are a team.”

Given how stressful this year has been, it’s understandable that it would take at least some kind of toll on their marriage. Its only going to get worse for Loughlin and Giannulli from here. However, as their stress will increase tenfold as the trial for the now infamous college admissions scandal draws near. If they’re struggling now, they had better buckle up. The next few months are going to be a bumpy ride for them.
