WWE Chaotic COVID Crisis

During SmackDown Live this week, Kevin Owens was written off from SmackDown Live storylines. Nevertheless, nobody really believes that Owens will disappear from the WWE forever. Since he lost during SmackDown Live, what does the future hold for Kevin Owens?

Kevin Owens Releases Cryptic Tweet

Kevin Owens

The answer to the question might be more straightforward than we think. Shortly after SmackDown Live, Kevin Owens tweeted something rather cryptic ’14-24-20′. As you may expect, fans rallied to decipher the cryptic message.

One fan came up with quite the logical explanation. The fan in question with username @PikaPriest believed that the numbers referred to corresponding letters in the alphabet. If you put them together, then it spells out NXT.

A Future Feud With Adam Cole

NXT Adam Cole

Earlier in the year, Kevin Owens made a weird statement about Adam Cole during TakeOver XXV, stating he would be ‘undisputedly’ watching. This has made fans speculate about a return to NXT as well, with Kevin Owens facing none other than Adam Cole.

I have to be honest, the potential of a match between Owens and Adam Cole certainly excites me. I believe Owens has been wasting his talent on the main roster, despite the fact he has become one of the top guys. Nevertheless, he has not won much in terms of titles recently and the storylines have been a little counterproductive.

On the other hand, it would be rather stupid for the WWE to put Owens back on NXT. After all, he is a major attraction for many fans. Some fans buy tickets just to see him. So, is it really such a smart move to remove Owens from the main roster in favor of NXT?

Still, no matter which roster Owens stays on, he will undoubtedly be an amazing addition. At the end of the day, I must admit that I am more excited about Kevin Owens on NXT. And, that’s mainly because of the potential matches against the likes of Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, and Tommaso Ciampa. The possibilities are endless.
