The final stop before All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debuts on TNT was All Out. Like their past few events, the show proved that AEW can be legit competition for any wrestling promotion. Here is the fallout from All Out.
As for debuts, we saw former Impact Wrestling wrestlers Santana & Ortiz join AEW. Under masks, the two attacked Pentagon Jr. & Fenix after they retained their AAA Tag Team Championships from The Young Bucks in a crazy ladder match. Arn Anderson also appeared, assisting Cody Rhodes to defeat Shawn Spears; who had Tully Blanchard in his corner.
Kenny Omega went 0-2 for the promotion in singles action after losing to PAC. After the show, PAC and “Hangman” Adam Page exchanged words. That looks like a potential feud, which was originally scheduled for Double Our Nothing before backstage politics caused it to be scratched.
In the main event, Chris Jericho became the first AEW World Champion by defeating Adam Page. We also learned that the first episode on TNT will feature Nyla Rose taking on Riho for the inaugural AEW Women’s Championship as both scored victories during Saturday’s event.
As for AEW’s next PPV, they are headed to Baltimore, Maryland for Full Gear. That takes place November 9 from the Royal Farms Arena and ticket information will be made shortly.
After the show, AEW President Tony Khan stated that fan-favorite Kylie Rae asked for her release and it was granted. No reason was given why, but Khan said there were no hard feelings. She last competed at Double Or Nothing.
