Undertaker Signs Major WWE Contract, Lio Rush’s Future

– The Undertaker’s wrestling career will likely end with WWE as he signed a major contract in April. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Undertaker could not pass up the offer that is apparently for such a lengthy time that he would not be able to wrestle anywhere else when it ends. 

Despite their not being many other details about the contract, a major point was that Undertaker could not appear at non-WWE events like he had planned for Starcast II during the week of AEW’s Double Or Nothing. The entire Starcast II – Undertaker ordeal apparently upset Vince McMahon.

The past few matches from Undertaker have been questionable when it pertains to his performance. He quickly defeated John Cena at WrestleMania 34 in a basic squash and then there were a few matches from Saudi Arabia. He would lose to Triple H and then Undertaker & Kane lost to Triple H & Shawn Michaels later in the year. There was no Undertaker appearance at WrestleMania 35, but there was that embarrassing match against Goldberg. Undertaker looked better when he teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre a few weeks back at Extreme Rules.

– Lio Rush was taken off TV due to problems he was causing behind the scenes. That was months and there does not seem to be any indiction of him returning. Rush recently addressed his future with WWE on the The Two Man Power Trip.

“I miss the fans,” said Rush. “I miss doing what I love and like the saying goes, never say never. I’m only 24 years old and of course I still want to wrestle and be a part of my dream company. I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last time you see me in a ring. But it is pretty cool that I get to have this opportunity to spend some time with my family because I haven’t been able to that much or as much as I’d like to since signing with WWE and also to take this time out to work on projects that I’ve always wanted to work on like this single that I just put out.”

Rush rubbed people the wrong way as he thought WWE should have featured him in a bigger way. He spent a short time on 205 Live before becoming the hype man for Bobby Lashley, who is currently out with an injury. As of now, there is no word if Rush will return to WWE TV.
