– Fans are still reeling from the close of SmackDown LIVE this week that saw Roman Reigns attacked when some scaffolding fell on him. Thankfully, he was okay when all was said and done and was able to walk away from the incident unscathed.
Who could Roman Reigns’ target be? According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, it was Daniel Bryan, and the two should lock up come SummerSlam as a result of what happened.
Seems crazy that DB would be behind this; however, he does have muscle man help in the form of Rowan, so pulling off a stunt like this makes sense. With about a week left before the big WWE event in Toronto, seems like WWE Creative has a ton of work ahead of them when it comes to the Roman Reigns versus Daniel Bryan SummerSlam program. Either way, it should prove to be a stellar match.
– Yes, SummerSlam takes place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario Canada on Sunday August 11th, which is just around the corner, so its hard to believe that programs are still coming down the pipe at this very moment.
If fact, Dave Melter of Wrestling Observer Radio stated that while The Miz and Dolph Ziggler was booked this past week during SD LIVE, Ziggler is apparently set to face WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg at SummerSlam. It seems that those who support Goldberg want him to “makeup” for his terrible match against the Undertaker in Saudi Arabia.
Interestingly enough, Ziggler has been making digs at Goldberg during his promos the past few weeks, so it’s not overly surprising that he’ll be facing the legend come August 11th. How WWE Creative will pull the Miz from the SummerSlam match, and add Goldberg will be fascinating to watch unravel. Here’s hoping Ziggler can help Goldberg pull of a better bout then his last one in Saudi.
