Kamaru Usman was part of the ESPN broadcasting team for UFC Newark, so, not surprisingly, things got pretty heated when his rival Colby Covington joined the broadcast desk.

Covington faced former champ Robbie Lawler at the event, and the striking volume and wrestling of “Chaos” delivered him a one-sided, decision win. Immediately after the win, Covington started asking where Usman was at, and then he joined the ESPN broadcasting crew.

Here is some of what the rivals had to say during the exchange, as security stood by (quotes via MMA Junkie):

“Name one time I ducked you,” Usman said. “Name a time I ducked you! Name on time! Name one! You can’t name one.”

“You were offered to fight me,” Covington said. “You don’t want to fight me. You’ve got fake injuries. You’re a joke.”

“…It’s a possibility tonight,” Usman said.

“He talks big because there’s security in front of us,” Usman said. “We saw the videos.”

Covington also predicted that he’d quickly KO Usman when they fight, which, likely prompted some chuckles amongst “Chaos” detractors. Covington has no knockouts on his record and his last five wins have been by decision.

The 31-year-old Covington now holds a record of 15-1.
