Monday Night Raw (7/22/2019): 8 pm EST

Show opens up and John Cena comes out to the ring. He starts to cut a promo about how WWE is his home but then The Usos come out to interrupt. They comment on how lit it is that Cena is there, but what do the people really want? The Usos suggest that they want Cena to drop some rhymes with them right now. Cena shakes his head and says he can’t. The Usos goad him a bit, referring to him as “John Cena, the man who left us for the movie biz.” The crowd boos. Cena stops and thinks about it and turns back. He drops a line about The Usos looking just like their mug shots.

The crowd cheers and Cena is about to leave but The Usos stop him. Then they bring out Rikishi. Rikishi tells Cena to back his ass up because he can’t let Cena leave all “fast and furious.” Before they can bust a move together, Raw Tag Champs The Revival come out to interrupt and ultimately a tag team match gets made between The Revival and The Usos. D-Von Dudley ends up coming out to corner The Revival in their match, considering Rikishi is in The Usos’ corner.

Samoa Joe comes out to cut a promo. He says ‘Reunion’ shows are a plague to WWE and just outlines the WWE Universe’s obsession with nostalgia. Then he talks trash about The Usos coming out with Rikishi. After a few choice remarks about them, Roman Reigns comes out to defend his family’s honor. Joe doesn’t back down and the two end up brawling around the ring area. Joe gets the upper hand and he maliciously lays a beating on Reigns, relishing the violence. Reigns suddenly finds the energy to explode with a primal yell as he launches himself with a Superman Punch that connects.

Joe falls off the ring apron to the floor. He gets up angrily and looks like he wants to rip Reigns’ head off. He’s about to get in the ring but backs off. Joe asks if the people want to see him and Reigns throw down for real. They cheer and Joe says “I’m not doing a damn thing for these people.” Joe is about to leave and Reigns tells the crowd not to worry. “All Samoans aren’t cowards,” he says as he clocks Joe. Goaded by this taunt, Joe finally agrees to a match between them tonight.

Rollins says Heyman has 5 seconds to leave before he heads up the aisle after him. Heyman, ultimately, takes his leave.

Rollins then states flatly that he will face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam with the title on the line… and Lesnar will lose. He says that, unlike Lesnar, he is here tonight and is always facing the best. Rollins will face AJ Styles later tonight.

Singles Match: AJ Styles (with The Club) vs. Seth Rollins

The Club ends up making their presence felt in the match and outnumbering Rollins. But because The Club apparently said they were the baddest team in wrestling, D-Generation X comes out to challenge their claim and also even the odds for Rollins. Shawn Michaels and Triple H end up having Rollins’ back during the match when The Club interferes, but the ref calls for the bell.

Finally, The Immortal Hulk Hogan comes out to the stage. Hogan cuts an awkward promo. But there was one more guy in the back, and the glass-shatter hits and he comes out. Austin cuts a promo that seems like it was unscripted and it’s the only bit of life this stillborn reunion had in it. But still it was pointless.
