Jorge Masvidal Sets a Record Knocking Out Ben Askren

What more needs to be said about what Jorge Masvidal did to Ben Askren? There was a ton of trash talk leading up to this UFC 239 bout, but all it took was five scant seconds for Masvidal to knock the formerly undefeated wrestler into the Netherworld.

Five seconds. That’s the fast knockout in UFC history, folks.

What’s really amazing is that this was 100% Masvidal’s game plan. Smoking Askren with a flying knee was exactly what he and his coaches knew what would happen.

I guess the lesson here is… Geez, I don’t even know. Don’t trash talk Masvidal? Don’t be a one-dimensional wrestler?
